I was waiting on their list for hacked accounts for two months, and when I reached out, they gave me a fake response. I had to make a fresh account then.

Sometimes the system prompts you to download files, even asking if you really want them. It’s surprising how often you have to click through. Don’t think you’re clever if you end up downloading something without realizing it. No one I’ve met has done this before.

That's the situation. My accounts are okay. Only my CS:GO skins were affected—it looks like they just cleared that section. Nothing else has been touched. There was no attempt to change my account or sell anything, nothing about getting a VAC or anything similar. It seems like every safety measure was bypassed and all my skins were taken. I don’t understand how this happened. The server was already open. You mentioned the welcome message, but I’m not sure what it said. Also, TS didn’t mention me being kicked or removed from a server; I just got an error about an invalid plugin preventing me from joining.

It's my first time using something like this. I didn't like the original version much. I only needed it occasionally for a few friends. I get the basic idea but usually programs have plugins instead. I wasn't aware TS was so widespread. Now I'm not sure, but I'll be okay once I get my stuff back.

It occurred precisely the same to my brother. Because he wasn’t familiar with the process, he clicked a link without verifying it. Almost lost a valuable knife. I spent an entire day attempting to repair his computer. Fortunately, I had access to his account on my machine, which allowed me to exchange all his belongings for mine. However, there were attempts to compromise his account. I’m genuinely curious about how this happened as well.

It was part of TS's plugin update, so I didn’t notice anything unusual. He was fortunate not to have anything else taken. Removing Steam cleared mine because it interacts with its internal files, though virus scanners missed it—likely due to a registry key or similar.

The person who had my brother was a distinct file. It wasn't related to TS. What makes me think he was an idiot is the direct connection to a file site—probably DropBox. You shouldn’t click those kinds of links. Still, it’s a shame they ended up with his skins; those items are quite rare and costly. Here’s what my brother almost had stolen from him.

He received everything he needed, quite a bit indeed. I'm just praying Steam will return it. I won't be purchasing again if they don't.

TS is completely secure. You were likely tricked into downloading something to connect to the server. Probably didn’t consider the risks and weren’t aware of it. Teamspeak remains unaffected by this issue.

Damn, while my brother would have been furious, he had it better than that. Regarding Steam refunding the items, I believe there was a rule if they could identify the theft, they would restore the inventory to a specific point before the incident. However, I think this policy has since been withdrawn. Hope you manage to recover your belongings.
