Security breach detected in gamingLightingService.exe.
I've encountered an issue after setting up my new PC. I installed Windows and Asus Aura, which supports all my devices and some games. However, I only experienced problems with two out of six applications: Watchdogs 2 and Fortnite. The error displayed was "Game Security Violation Detected (#0000000D) [LightningService.exe]." Ending the task in Task-Manager would only be a short-term fix, and moving the executable folder doesn't allow Aura to open properly. I'm seeking a lasting solution now and hope someone can assist me.
Have you considered updating to another Aura release? The Asus site offers multiple versions.
No, but I've updated to an older version now. The issue is resolved. Appreciate it!
I just upgraded my MSI B350 motherboard to an ASUS Crosshair Hero VI X370. It worked perfectly with the original MSI board. At the time, I had installed several other upgrades like the Corsairs full kit and RGB fans with an AIO system. I only encountered errors occasionally. Once I restarted it, I didn’t know what was causing them. Tonight I checked out Fortnite of All Things and found the same error in the easy anti-cheat. I discovered it was due to the latest version of the ASUS RGB software. After carefully taking apart my rig piece by piece, I realized it was the motherboard itself. I removed the program and all issues disappeared completely! I haven’t shared anything like this before, but after all the effort, I thought it might help someone save time. I’m a beginner at PCs, but these forums really make people smarter. Thanks for providing such useful information—no need to ask me to join!
