This means everything is lost because you must delete all partitions before setting up Windows properly, as your M.2 storage likely lacks a boot partition.

You place the installation on a bootable USB drive containing Windows 10 or 11.

You've saved Windows 10 onto a USB drive, but you're unsure what to do next.

I understand this process will erase all data from the drive, making recovery unlikely. You may also need a valid Windows license key.

Are you required to purchase a new key for Windows? Your digital key is linked to your Microsoft account.

You’re not required to clean your SSD or HDD before installing Windows. The installer will handle the files during setup. Choose the upgrade option that keeps your existing data safe, or go with the advanced install if you want a fresh start.

Proceed with advanced settings. Remove all partitions on the SSD, where your data is stored. Choose the unpartitioned area and install there. Disabled CSM, enabled secure boot, correct?
