I'm working today on cleaning, organizing, and backing up my computers—two desktops and one laptop. I have an external hard drive with some files like pictures and documents. My concern is whether I can back up all three computers using that drive, even with the extra stuff inside. I’m also preparing for Windows 10, though it’s still uncertain if it will be available. Should I clear the external drive or keep the files and still complete the backups? Thanks for your help and any advice you can give.

You can store it along with everything you want to keep. Make sure there’s space for the backup. This brings to mind... I think I need to back up my system...

That's great to hear. I'm planning to improve it a bit. I have an SSD on my computer with an HDD that I use for storing files, so I don't worry about losing data there. My son's desktop and his laptop really need regular backups. I was considering putting all the external drives on my HDD for exclusive backup purposes, but I'm looking for a quick solution right now.
