For two years I've been enjoying this game, always hoping for a chance to take on bigger challenges. My breakthrough came when I landed a high-paying passenger mission to the Holy Twins for 24 million credits. In the past couple of days I was preparing, using my Asp Explorer and working with engineer Felicity Farseer. My jump range reached 39.7 light-years per jump (34.5 with the passenger cabin and scanner). I completed the 12,500 ly trip in 12 jumps, each about 30-32 jumps long, taking roughly 25-30 minutes per leg. That’s impressive—some missions are done with much shorter ranges.

Now I’m here, thinking I’ll make the most of it. I’ve spotted at least ten systems with black holes, including one with three. I’m not risking anything too far from home. I considered taking the neutron highway for a bit, but I don’t want to lose all that data if I crash into a neutron star. Before leaving, I did some quick calculations—about 750 round-trip jumps could earn me an extra 15-20 million in discovery credits. That’s a big bonus!

I had a close call: halfway through the trip I hit a sizable patch of brown dwarfs and nearly spilled coffee on my monitor. It was scary. I also found a nice neutron star to photograph. What are your Commanders doing these days? — CMDR Darklanky

It takes a lot of work, but it feels really rewarding. The result is also very attractive.

I struggle to keep up with those games. My summer job starts soon (hvac), and I’m already overwhelmed by meeting my gaming commitments.

You're totally confused about this game, but it's super cool! It seems like you're spending a lot of time on delivery quests because you're new to it. Keep exploring—you might discover something awesome!

Usually, I draw motivation from others' experiences. After a whole year feeling disconnected, I noticed some people pushing boundaries with fresh updates like exploring the neutron highway and developing the engineers DLC. The Horizons season pass has kept the game alive for me, and each new addition feels like another year of exciting playtime.

I returned from the mission yesterday after long jumps through hyperspace. I saved up 24 mil for the passenger run and an extra 18.5 mil for the discovery data—seriously, that was a win. I completed 734 round trips, moving me from 11% ranger to 45% ranger in discoverer rank, and my rep soared after landing at that station. When I got back, I was immediately offered a 42 million credit mission, but flying another 15,000 lightyears soon feels impossible. I need to focus on climbing naval rank and get a fighter-capable ship to enjoy the commander DLC.
