I had previously set up Windows 10 but needed to reinstall it. All updates were completed, yet the latest release for Skype remains inactive. The small Windows icon in the system tray isn’t visible, making it hard to proceed. Can you find a way to restore Windows 10 now?

It seems linked to your MS account. I don’t have a memory of that.

You received a confirmation email, but you need to verify it. Also, I’d appreciate it if the annoying icon could be removed from the background. Right now I have to open Task Manager and close it each time I start up.

Since it requires around 2mb of RAM, you can simply press Windows + R and then type in msconfig, where you'll find the option to turn off startup programs.

It's the symbol that bothers me the most... it feels like there are two start options, right?

I believed that, yet I also considered it connected to your computer as well.

I understand, and I’ve reviewed the FAQ. The main point is that people with reservations will receive the update first, as it’s being released in phases, and I’m eager to get it as soon as possible.

The reserve symbol is merely a trick to prompt users to upgrade; reserving has no impact on the actual upgrade process.
