If its your only option, try. Its possible, but really hard. If you can RMA it, do that in stead There is this video from this Linus guy who fixed some pins

It happened once with my Z97 during disassembly when I was getting ready for a platform upgrade. I gently pushed them back and they looked great. The owner’s build is definitely worse, but it’s manageable with a steady hand and some patience.
