I’m seeking another option for securing files and entire drives on Windows. If you have any suggestions for free tools that match what Truecrypt offers, I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

I prefer not to rely on BitLocker and it doesn’t work on my Windows 7 Home Premium versions. Would you like alternative recommendations?

Currently, with TrueCrypt no longer available, you might explore alternatives like BitLocker and LUKS for securing your Linux system.

truecrypt remains functional. efforts are underway to recompile various components using Visual C similar to the 90s, bringing it up to modern standards. while the original version is reliable, I still believe truecrypt works well as it stands today.
