Secure digital storage solution for vital documents
Hey! You have roughly 15 years of photos on your server, currently saved on a WD 2 TB Green drive using RAID 1. You're concerned about protecting them from power issues and want an online backup solution. I'm looking for affordable options with ample storage—ideally around 350 GB or more. Services like Backblaze, Carbonite, or even free tools such as Duplicati could work well. What do you think?
Check out the fastest options available—4TB drives at lightning speed and affordable 1TB upgrades.
To me, the first option looks questionable. Mediafire is often linked to sharing questionable or illegal content. The second seems more reliable, though I’m not sure why people trust their suggestions. I think those were the top results in a Google search. I was hoping for something similar to CrashPlan or Backblaze. CrashPlan had a problem because it doesn’t handle backups on its own—if their storage fails, I have to re-upload everything. Backblaze’s app didn’t let me pick just one folder and forced me to sync the entire C drive.
I’d prefer the big option instead of those two you talked about. For something truly reliable, oneDrive is a good choice—it’s Microsoft’s service and should last longer.
