I received this setup from my church since they replaced their old computer and no longer needed it. I decided to install Linux Manjaro just for the experience, so I created a bootable USB drive and planned to proceed. The main challenge was disabling secure boot in the BIOS, but every time I saved changes it would automatically re-enable it. I updated the BIOS to the latest version hoping it would resolve the issue, but unfortunately it didn’t. My system is an HP 110-210 running Windows 8.1. Do you know of a solution to bypass this? Any suggestions would be really helpful.

I faced problems with certain HP BIOS versions that prevent secure boot from being disabled. You must open the BIOS, disable secure boot only, apply the changes, restart the system, then immediately return to the BIOS to enter a 4-digit confirmation code. After entering the code, you’ll hear a positive beep and the BIOS will load successfully. Save your settings and restart again.

You're experiencing the same issue where the BIOS doesn't register a pin after saving changes. When you exit and return, it appears enabled again without any confirmation that you previously disabled it.
