Just installed this new computer and connected a second screen today. The second monitor functions properly until a heavier program (browser, games) is opened there. When such apps run on that display, it turns black until the window is switched to the other screen, then it recovers quickly. Windows applications like Discord, settings, NVIDIA Control Panel don’t trigger the blackout; only browsers or games do. It doesn’t matter which screen is the main display. I’ve updated the GPU drivers. Both screens are running at 1920x1080 with 60fps. Any tips for troubleshooting would be appreciated. Specs: i5 10400 EVGA GTX 1080 (game-ready drivers v528.02), Gigabyte Aorus B560 Pro Ax, 550W PSU, 16GB RAM. Monitor: HP 22CWA Blacking Out Monitor: DELL S2340L

You're right about 1080 being quite demanding. For my two older 1080 Ti graphics cards, I used an SLI setup with a 1600W power supply. That didn't guarantee a perfect solution, but 1080 was a top-tier card. A 550W PSU might not be enough if the GPU hits its limits when displaying the secondary monitor. If you have another available, try using a more powerful PSU. Also, keep in mind your PSU is likely nearing the end of its lifespan given the age of your GPU.
