Hey everyone,
I’ve finally found the time to get back to my desk setup. After some time away, I’m starting to understand what’s new and what’s still reliable. Based on what I’ve learned so far, I’m aiming for a build that should last around five years with only minor changes. My gaming plans are leaning toward 1440p, and I’m open to streaming as well, while keeping an eye on other CPU-intensive tasks. The color theme is mostly white, though I’m not strictly limited to it.

Here’s what I’ve put together so far:
- CPU/MOBI/RAW: [links]
- Rest of the components:
- CPU cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE (White ARGB)
- Thermal paste: ARCTIC MX-6 4g
- Storage: Crucial P5 Plus 2TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
- Video card: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7800 XT (16GB)
- Case: HYTE Y60 Snow White ATX Mid Tower
- PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 PE 850W (80+ Gold)
- Fans: Two Lian Li Uni SL-Infinity 61.3CFM fans

The total comes to about $1484.85, which includes shipping and taxes.
I’m open to tweaks—like swapping the PSU color or finding cheaper alternatives for any part. I’m also considering a larger monitor soon. What do you all think?

The Y60 installation places the PSU behind the motherboard, making the color choice irrelevant since the internal components remain black. Choose a high-quality unit with a solid warranty and the required wattage.

The MSI board combo offers superior DRAM performance; if these are your choices, opt for it.

Typically, a 13600/14600 system would be a better value for the same budget, but those bundles appear to offer good savings.

Depending on your preference for RGB lighting on the fans, you might reduce costs by selecting fewer fans. I’m also uncertain whether filling all fan slots with an air cooler is advisable in that scenario.

Thanks, I just noticed after watching some build videos haha. Now I'm starting to question this or the nzxt h9.

If you're seeking white or showcase-style builds, consider Lian-li the O11 Dynamic EVO and LANCOOL III. Fractal Design Torrent excels in air cooling. The new Thermaltake CTE line also offers a distinctive appearance.

These combinations offer excellent value, though I prefer the first one—it provides a better motherboard. The RAM timings are too slow in the second setup. Also, you seem to think case fans are overpriced; there are more affordable options that look great.
