I’m currently using a 8700k and a 1080 gpu at 3440x1440 resolution. I’m looking for the best path ahead to boost FPS while maintaining high detail settings. On the Black desert Reddit community, people are discussing various strategies, but I’m more focused on visual quality than just performance. I understand the 2080ti performs well in the game, but it’s beyond my budget for an upgrade. I’m trying to decide between a second 1080 model or a single 1080ti, or going with the 2080. It seems this game is often overlooked during benchmarking, even though the Remastered version looks much better. There’s also an ultra settings mode that only gives me around 24 fps, which is quite low and might be due to poor optimization.

its not used because there is no way to get a consistent run.
while running through town is always demanding, its far less demanding depending on what time of day you are playing.
When you benchmark a game that doesnt have a built in tool, you have to create a run through a portion of the game that will always be the same (Crysis Skybox for instance, or the same level in Doom).
BDO(and most MMO's), while very demanding, is far too inconsistent for the benchmark to have any meaning.

Absolutely, I completely understand. The final game is indeed one of the most visually appealing on the market.

I hope Pearl Abyss would introduce a benchmarking tool comparable to what Monster Hunter Online provided.

I agree. the game (even before it was remastered) looks absolutely beautiful.
It’s one of those titles that really needs improvement.
It would be challenging to make it perfect, as I manage around 100fps when not near a city and about 20fps in urban areas.
The difference is quite significant depending on your location, which makes an accurate benchmark difficult.
