It seems like a tough cable, likely designed to link two key camera components along a particular route—essentially just the basics.

Could linking the LCD display and the camera viewfinder work together?

Looks more like a flat cable with a selection wheel thing, don't know the exact name for that style of button. There's that black lever and there's probably a spring or something that makes that lever return to the center position. So user can press the lever left or right to go through menu, or maybe zoom in or out, or change some custom setting, and once user stops pressing the lever returns to center. If it's not spring like, it could behave like a rotary encoder, only restricted to a part of the whole circle, maybe there's 5-10 individual positions user could select. For example could be the part behind either of those 3 style of buttons, or maybe just the two above (because the bottom one also has that green button that locks everything and I don't see a second button on that part.

No, it does not alter the screen from LCD to viewfinder.

Hey everyone! I've been dealing with this part for a while now. The cable seems to function like a sensor. When the LCD is open, it triggers the lever, and the camera knows when to switch between viewfinder or screen. The issue is that I can't find any instructions or details in the manual about how to install or position this cable inside the hinge. I've already broken one and have a replacement coming. If anyone has tips on installing it correctly, it would be really helpful. Thanks!
