Good things in those categories would be perfect to think about. Whether it's for shooters doesn't matter if they're first or third person. Other genres are welcome too, though these are my main interests. Just a heads-up I might already have ideas about games people recommend, but that's fine—there are no wrong answers.

Plague Inc and Democracy 3 aren't quite the same, but Cities: Skylines is a great alternative for other tastes. I enjoy it too.

It's likely the top pick among First/Third person shooters. Although it isn't available for purchase yet, it's in early access and continues to improve each week.

I'm not sure. Are you asking about the game Democracy? Is it a strategy game? Could it be similar to Cities: Skylines or another city-building title? It's possible it's something else. Worth checking out if you're interested.

I recently checked out Spec Ops - The Line... Wow, what an incredible experience! Also, I strongly suggest the Xcom series—it offers deeper RPG aspects and demands more strategic thinking rather than just leveling through a simple game. Strongly recommended.

It seems like you're sharing some personal gaming experiences. You mentioned having experience with Spec-OPs and played a game last summer with an exciting twist at the end. You also played the original Xcom on your iPad, which was quite challenging. You haven't gotten to Xcom 2 yet but it's on your wish list.
