Hi, I need help picking a new router. I live in a 3-bedroom, multi-story townhouse with Verizon Fios. My current TP-Link Archer C9 V1 is in the basement, but it doesn’t work well on the top floor where my smart TV struggles to connect. I’m looking for a strong option and am thinking about mesh Wi-Fi too. I also want the flexibility to set up my router myself. Could you recommend something suitable? Thanks!

The Ubiquiti gear works really well, I just installed it and everything is strong throughout my house. I used an Edge Router X and a small AP, but since I have a single-story home, the AP PRO offers great coverage and should fit your needs perfectly.

I suggest Ubiquiti or MikroTik for your needs.
