Hoping I might receive some money soon and possibly turn it into a wireless mouse. I've been using my current mouse for a long time, and I'm not sure what else to do. The cable has been wearing out for a couple of years, which often causes the mouse to drop when moving. It looks like it might be a Logitech MX518 or something similar. I tend to hold the whole mouse in my hand. I'm right-handed and only use a few buttons, besides the wheel and two main ones. I don't know many other mouse functions.
Thanks for any advice.
From Logitech, you can explore the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT. It remains among the top mice on the market. You won't be disappointed with the Deathadder V3 (V2 is still solid) or Viper V2 Pro either. If you visit a store like Best Buy or Micro Center near you, it could be useful to try these mice firsthand. I'd also suggest considering Glorious, Pulsar X2 or Atlantis Lamzu as alternatives.
I own a basilik x hyperspeed, which I acquired a couple of years ago. I really like it and would definitely recommend it. There are updated versions like v2 and v3, plus "pro" and "rgb" models for better value. I haven’t had a reason to upgrade. I think I paid around $40 for it during a sale. This is my first gaming mouse; I’ve only used cheaper $20 mouse keyboard combos before. But I don’t see any reason to switch now. It works perfectly in both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz modes. Just my two cents.
Great suggestion. It looks like Best Buy and Microcenter don't have any nearby stores with the item, but they might have a display version available.
Amazon currently offers excellent discounts on all three items mentioned.
i don't understand why, but i can check how long the battery lasts. it seems like i've changed it about three times in more than a year of regular use. the bt mode has a very strong power-saving setting when it goes to sleep. it can take a long time to "wake up" for 10 seconds, and sometimes even longer. however, at 2.4 ghz it wakes up instantly. that's why i kept using the 2.4 ghz mode.
no rgb, bluetooth LE, many mice have low energy over bluetooth... and battery life is up to... if you keep clicking, the battery will die sooner, but it activates when the mouse is idle
Visited a nearby Best Buy and found some displays, but nothing in the shop. Deathadder didn't fit my hand. Bailisk was decent, though I don't use any of the buttons and I'm not sure I could avoid hitting them. Viper was the best fit. It was really light, almost like a hollow plastic Easter egg. Have anyone used it? I'm leaning toward that one. Best Buy has them on sale through tomorrow.
