That's accurate, the manual does cover the MG1/MG2 events in a concise way. MGR is established but wasn't authored by Kojima, and honestly I didn't focus on its story. Still, it's a solid title with some minor camera issues. The MG1 events happen after the 4th As, and you're right about pacing—you won't regret going through them. I appreciate the power elements, though; aside from MGS1, all the others are great, especially since I was tired by the time I reached about half of PW.

I understand, follow the release sequence that works for me. It seems more logical since the narratives are structured that way—MGS 1 connects to 2, which links into 3, then ties to 4. Peace Walker relates to ground zeros, which in turn previews phantom pain. Playing them this way makes the progression smoother and better reflects how the story unfolds across time.

Not only that, but while thinking about MGS1 I noticed a noticeable delay in response time. I’m not sure if it was because it was played on an HDTV or a PS3, but when I used newer systems it felt quite bothersome. It was amusing because it never bothered me at first. To the OP, it’s not impossible to play, just getting used to it takes time.

You're asking about something you've noticed recently, likely after playing it on your NVIDIA Shield.

It was definitely noticeable there would be a delay of about a quarter to half a second in the snakes' reaction. After that, it disappeared. I hadn't seen anything like this before, and it was somewhat annoying because it didn't behave as expected. I wasn't sure about the first time I met Raven, but by then it was just part of the experience.

PS3...physical version on Samsung 55" I considered the refresh rate issue on the TV, but I keep switching between apps and my MS refresh rate (including MGS5) didn’t show any changes, so I’m not sure what happened.

The problem seems to affect only MGS and some other PS1 titles.
