Is there a nostalgic reason you want to do this? You'll have to spend more than the boards are worth now since they're old, and you'd be better off getting even the cheapest H410/i3 for your money.

THAT! The current i3 is at least as fast as i7-7700K so no reason for @Azade12 to spend 200 bucks for a motherboard while there is something brand new and faster cpu/mobo combination for less money. You even can get a i3-10105F with B560 if you have a gpu available.

THAT! The current i3 is at least as fast as i7-7700K so no reason for @Azade12 to spend 200 bucks for a motherboard while there is something brand new and faster cpu/mobo combination for less money. You even can get a i3-10105F with B560 if you have a gpu available.

I took apart my 2016 PC and I got rid of the MOBO. The rest is fine.

If you manage to find a 100 or 200 series motherboard for under $50, it could be a good deal. However, after that price point, it's usually smarter to invest in new components instead of sticking with the i5.
