For Christmas I upgraded to 1440p with a GTX 1080 and am seeking a game that challenges my system. It currently handles anything I throw at it perfectly. I'm searching for a title with strong gameplay and impressive visuals. Rise of the Tomb Raider is on sale now on Steam, so I'm checking out options. I recently bought Battlefield 1 but had to return it because I kept getting instantly sniped every time I spawned. Wishing everyone a safe and joyful holiday season. Thanks!

The Witcher 3 is truly amazing. Doom offers a different kind of challenge compared to Tomb Raider. Which one suits you better?

Witcher 3 with all DLC sounds quite appealing (though I don’t own it, but my friends, cousin, and brother enjoy it). Arma 3 Apex Edition comes with all DLC or you can play standard Arma 3 with mods. Doom might be an insurgency option, but I didn’t like it. Black Mesa seems promising (planning to buy it soon due to positive reviews; they’re still working on Zen). Shadow of Mordor is still unknown to me—I haven’t played the new Tomb Raider or any others, so I can’t judge its value compared to other titles.

I enjoyed doom and appreciated the ROTR. It really depends on your preference—each has its own unique vibe.

Tomb Raider offers a stronger RPG experience compared to other titles, while Doom provides a faster-paced action game. Also, consider getting CIv 6—it’s really good!
