I understand the industry push, but Star Citizen isn’t the right fit for a game that needs to be immersive. Keep an eye on it if you’re interested in supporting its development, though don’t count on a complete release just yet. The single-player story segment, 'Squadron 42,' is scheduled for late 2016, with a full launch expected by early 2017—probably not until mid-2017 at the earliest. I’m okay with that, but if you’re looking for something now, stay open to other options. I enjoyed Ori and the Blind Forest; Transistor is solid despite its flaws; Rocket League is surprisingly enjoyable given its simplicity. The Bioshock trilogy still holds a special place for me, even if it’s not a strict trilogy, and I’ll revisit it later. Skryim remains fun, and the modding scene offers a lot of depth for those with the right hardware. If you haven’t tried Portal yet, it’s an exceptional experience.

I've been enjoying a lot of Brawlhalla. It's a free game that closely resembles Smash Brothers, it uses minimal space and is fairly lightweight. It works well with a controller, though many players prefer using the mouse and keyboard.

Counter Strike? Doom seems impressive. Possibly some Resident Evil titles? A lot of high-definition versions of older RE games are available on Steam and they all run great.
