Just received a new update for FO4 a few days back on PC. Regarding Bethesda titles like the FO and ES series, I generally don’t have a strong opinion. Skyrim was my first ES game, but even though others say it’s better, it ended up making me dislike the whole franchise. The FO series feels more appealing to me, especially FO3 which I could handle well compared to Skyrim. I bought New Vegas on sale a while back but haven’t played it yet. Speaking of updates, I recently got FO4 and explored some mods—mainly Better Settlers, Diamond City Enhanced (recommended by someone), Improved map, take cover, everyone’s best friend, full dialogue interface, plus a few others. I’m planning to add more mods later, but for now I’ll stick to ones that enhance gameplay and the overall vibe. There’s an unofficial patch mod available, though Bethesda claims they no longer support vanilla FO4, and I don’t have any DLCs. For graphics, I downloaded the Bethesda high texture pack on Steam—it’s sufficient for my needs.
