Hey there! I'm thrilled you're diving into the Poke World for the first time. Let's figure out a good starting point. Since you're new, you might want to check out classic emulators like NES, SNES, or Game Boy emulators—those are great for beginners. If you're on PC, games like "Pokémon Red/Blue" or "Pokémon Diamond/Pearl" are popular choices. Just remember, I can't recall the exact titles from middle school, but these should get you going. No worries about missing a Game Boy Color—those are still fun to play! Let me know if you need more tips!

You might have enjoyed games like Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed or Leafgreen. Likely one of the earlier titles, though I can suggest any of these (maybe Emerald is best if you haven’t tried the older ones). You could also try the DS version, perhaps Pokemon Platinum—anything after that is unreliable on emulators. By the way, Visualboy Advance works for GBA, and DeSuMe is probably better for DS.

Yes, there are several trustworthy emulators for playing Emerald and Sapphire. You might want to check out platforms like Nexus Mods or the official game websites for recommended versions.

Absolutely, I suggest that too. It functions with both Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers.
