Some people claim the timeline of these games, but the facts show different years. Doom launched in 1993, followed by Doom II in 1994. You could also try Doom 3 released in 2004. Halo: Combat Evolved is a solid title, and I also suggest Deus Ex.

I’m going to try both of your ideas right away. I played Deus EX Invisible War back in 2003 when I was a kid, and it was the most unforgettable PC game ever.
