my server currently has 8x1gb drives on my Power Edge T410. I need 16gb, so at least 8x2gb or more like 8x4gb for 32gb sticks. If you have any offers in Canada, let me know!

Uncertain about Canada but I've had good results on eBay.

A reasonable cost for DDR3 ECC sticks is typically around $10 to $30 per stick, depending on the brand and condition.

In the US, prices typically range from $2 to $3 per gigabyte, depending on the size. You can use different sizes, which helps reduce costs. I’ll opt for larger sticks like 8GB or 16GB. The best setup is 6 drives, with three per CPU in your server. I wouldn’t go with eight unless necessary.

Got it, collect six sticks and allocate three to each CPU. Still looking for sellers first...

Depending on your location in Canada, freegeek could be a useful resource.

I'm in Ottawa but can't be there right now. Last time I heard, I wasn't planning to visit ever since things got bad.
