Right now around 65% of Arkham Asylum is occupied, so I can't comment much about the others. But so far it's been pretty disappointing. It's a solid game for casual play, with gameplay stretched out too much by collectibles. You can just ignore them since their worth is minimal at best. Probably won't make it through both Shadowlands. I haven't finished Half-Life yet (still have it on CD). How much would I lose if I didn't finish the first part before the second? And thanks for your tips, really appreciated.
The Spirit Engine 2 boasts what might be the most inventive and refined system for managing RPG characters I've encountered.
5 Days a Stranger
Tales of Monkey Island
Sam & Max Save the World series
Knights of the Old Republic II with the content update
Freelancer
Max Payne 2
FF14 Realm Reborn delivered a solid experience.
Freespace 2
You don't have to play Freespace 1 for this title.
TIE Fighter offered an unexpected narrative depth across its missions, though it wasn't highly cinematic.
Beyond Good and Evil
If you already have a concept of how the Arkam Asylum concluded, it won't be essential. I'm uncertain if revealing just the second game would be a major spoiler, especially since Arkam City delivers an immersive Batman experience with a compelling finale.
Any of the Golden Sun titles, though they aren't accessible on PC.
On Halflife, do you know how HL1 ended? You basically start from there. I'm not sure there's much else beyond that that you need to know going into the second one. If you've gotten to the other world, you've pretty much met anyone who shows up in HL2
I highly suggest the Mass Effect series (1-3, skip Andromeda), the narrative is outstanding and the games offer a deep experience. The gameplay is strong, though there are debates about the ending of the third installment—it remains a solid title worth playing.
I also support the Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War titles, both impressive in their own right.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (1 and 2) are also top-notch with compelling stories.
Fable 1-3 provide a solid and engaging experience, though they don’t match the depth of Mass Effect or KotOR in terms of story length.
