I’m searching for games featuring engaging narratives or survival elements that are enjoyable to play solo. I don’t mind lower-quality visuals as long as the graphics challenge my GTX970. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Turn it up a notch—it’ll really push your 970 to its limits. The 4 GB of VRAM will be your main hurdle, but with the right settings and texture packs, it should run smoothly at 60fps on my 780. Adding around 100 mods plus RealVision ENB means I’ll have to lower the quality to medium/high, especially in outdoor zones like Whiterun. In dungeons and indoor spots it stays solid at about 60fps. It might take some effort to get everything set up perfectly, but once it works, it’s a whole new experience.

Witcher 3 is likely the top single-player experience I've ever enjoyed, and it's certainly among my all-time favorites.
