Hello, at the beginning of the Ryzen I was trying various motherboards from multiple manufacturers, encountering problems such as fan speed curves and instability. Since I don’t have time to fix them right now, I’m searching for a reliable B550 board priced between 100 and 150€ that works without overclocking. It should support HDMI output for the 5700G APU, have plenty of ports (I/O), USB slots, SATA connections, and be compatible with ATX or ATX-M form factors. I’m open to other board types if they can accommodate the 5750G APU, though I’m unsure about compatibility with the B450 or X470 models.
Typically, MSI delivered strong performance across the B550 boards. There isn’t a single model that consistently underperforms. The MSI B550 Gaming Plus stands out with multiple USB ports and HDMI, though its Ethernet speed is limited to 1Gbps. Which country are you located in?
Europe. The Gaming plus costs 170€, which fits within my budget. It offers 6 SATA ports and ample USB connections, making it suitable. However, I see many cheaper motherboards priced around 100-130€ as well.
Considering the ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS offers a more affordable price while maintaining similar ports like SATA and USB, plus built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth along with a 2.5GbE Ethernet connection. The B350 model once sparked a meme due to its low-quality build, but it seems the situation has improved.
The TUF Gaming Plus is a solid B550 board. This time its VRMs perform much better. If the price is lower in your area, it could be a worthwhile alternative. The ASUS models mentioned here are the Prime ones that raise concerns.
Okay, i just discovered that the tuf gaming even has a thunderbolt 4 header, pretty amazing. It seems to have all the IO necesarry, has VRM heatsinks, seems good.
