I'm switching from an i7-7700 to an i5-9600K after receiving the CPU from a friend. I'm looking for a suitable motherboard online or through local ads, aiming for a budget around $250, with good value. I believe the Z390 chipset is ideal for 9th generation Intel chips. For the Home Theater PC setup, it's mainly for streaming and light gaming (GTX 1060 6GB), so USB Type-C and strong M.2 support are important. Let me know what you think!

Z390 stands out as the top choice. I use a standard Gigabyte Z390 UD in the office and a Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro there too, both handling my i9 9900kf smoothly at full multi-core performance. The Aorus offers one USB-C port and two M.2 slots – especially valuable for RGB setup. My current build includes these components.
