Hello everyone, welcome back as a new viewer but experienced in browsing. I'm looking for a new router and am hoping to reduce lag by switching to a better model. I'm aiming for something around $80 or less, not close to $100. I've found options like the RT-ACRH13 and the RT-N56U (used on eBay). Also, I've heard MU-MIMO is beneficial. I have a household of five with over ten devices—about four computers, phones, a PS4, and more. My home is a two-story house, but I don't know the square footage. Could you share some advice on what to consider? This is my first time purchasing a router.

A decent ASUS model in the $150 to $200 range works well. However, performance will decrease as you move farther away. Be ready for lag on the PlayStation if it's not on the same level.

Not always accurate. I opted for a more affordable wireless configuration and experienced no problems from the second floor.
