Hi all, I'm trying to upgrade my Alienware 13 r3 2017 with more RAM. The current setup is HMA81GS6AFR8N-UH by SKhynix. I plan to install the CT8G4SFS824A.C8FBR1 model. Both are DDR4 8GB at 2400Mhz, but I want to make sure they fit and work well together. Any advice would be great! Thanks.

Are there any reasons for using mismatched RAM? In theory they could function, but their differing structures might lead to problems based on how the system is used.

I originally purchased the model with a single 8GB RAM stick. Now I’m considering adding another. I couldn’t locate the same RAM model in my region, so I’m searching for alternatives.
