You're considering upgrading your system to overcome a bottleneck. I recommend exploring a mid-range motherboard and CPU within your budget of 600-700 AUD. Look for models that support modern CPUs and offer good value. Let me know if you need more specific suggestions! thxSmile

Your recall is very weak. It seems your motherboard and RAM might be the issue, especially with your i5 7500 and 2060. Could you tell me what type of motherboard your case supports?

The 7500's performance isn't impressive, and it doesn't indicate a high core count

In Speccy it doesn't display correctly; I was clocked at 2400 on both devices, but Task Manager shows it better.

DDR refers to Double Data Rate with specifications, and you must multiply it to achieve the actual speed.

I wasn't particularly clever when assembling my setup—it originally came with a 1060 3GB RAM, which is true. I only changed the GPU because I thought it was affordable and needed a replacement for Boneworks; I assumed it would slow things down, but it actually handles VR well enough. It doesn’t really bother me too much.
