I need a high-speed Wi-Fi router and a modem to pair with it. The modem should use a spectrum TV-style cable. The network will support 5 security cameras, a gaming PC, 2 smart TVs, a game system, and 4 mobile devices. I’m avoiding Netgear but want compatibility with an app for router adjustments. It’ll be installed in a 1200 sq ft home in the center of the house.

What rate do you charge? You might consider a Docsis 3.1 modem like I did—I used the CM1000. I think it should work on Spectrum since I’m connected through Comcast. On the Comcast network this model is typically rated for 940 Mbps. If you require higher speeds, the S33 with its 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port offers the fastest capabilities available from any cable provider. Speaking of options, Spectrum is the only cable company that doesn’t charge for a modem and provides a standard one. I’ve also heard that customer-owned modems can sometimes behave unpredictably on their network, so it might be safer to use the equipment they supply along with a quality router.

That's clear. I'll likely use their modem and install a strong Wi-Fi router. Appreciate your feedback!
