Searching for a reliable B550 motherboard.
I've faced some issues with mobos recently, so I'm reaching out for advice on a quality B550 motherboard. Stability and compatibility with my "Patriot Viper Steel" 3733mhz RAM are top priorities. If the board has a solid VRM and heatsink, I'd like to consider overclocking later.
I suggest the ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming, featuring ASUS’s Optimem II, compatible with AMD’s infinity fabric design. Stylish build, powerful cooling fins, 2.5GB LAN, PCIe 4.0 support for about $260 CAD. ASrock offers excellent Canadian promotions on CanadaComputers, with certain motherboards available for $200-$250 after rebates.

Thanks for the updates. Your budget stays under $200, and you're considering the B550 Tomahawk. It looks like you might upgrade to a Ryzen 5000 series next year. I wonder if all those series share the same BIOS or if each has different capabilities. Your RAM model PVS416G373C7K isn't listed on the QVL—could that cause issues with these sticks? Also, does the B550 Tomahawk support a Ryzen 2600? You can check the MSI support page for more details.
Not officially, AMD doesn't confirm B550 with Zen+ support. For certainty, choose an X570 such as the TUF X570-Plus. It may function but isn't assured at rated speeds. Your 3200 RAM performs best around 3000 MHz, for instance.
