From eBay or used shops, obtain ISOs for DVDs to boost performance—playing from discs is noisy and damages frames. @ Minibois is a PS2 enthusiast who can assist further.

That's actually achievable! You can easily ask your friends to lend you the game for a day.

There’s plenty, you won’t face any issues at all. Great!

I also rely on MagicISO for this task.

You could try that on Dolphin; it's unclear if PCSX2 handles it well without many issues. I usually pick Dolphin for Wii or Gamecube titles since it's more stable and supports a wider selection.

Sure, I can assist with PCSX2. It sounds like the performance issues are related to settings or compatibility. Have you checked the latest updates and patches for your PC? Also, try adjusting specific parameters like frame rate, resolution, and audio settings one by one to identify what causes the slowdown.

I noticed a problem with the BIOS file. Do you have any options to retrieve it elsewhere, without needing a PS2?

It's a Gamecube and Wii emulator. It performs significantly better than PCSX2, especially in terms of speed and support for older games.
