I'm searching for a KVM switch that consistently sends a signal to the monitors.
I have two laptops: one is an old Dell Latitude with Ubuntu 20.04, where I can easily disconnect and reconnect the cable without issues. The other is a Lenovo T480s running RHEL 8.7, which loses connection when the HDMI cable is removed. After reconnecting, the displays come back but only after I close the laptop.
I'd also like extra USB ports that can switch, so my external camera can track the keyboard, mouse, and monitor. The final touch would be a headphone jack switch.
What KVM switch do you currently have? What are its specifications, model details, and available connection options? For two laptops and two monitors, you might need a different setup.
