This type of software is commonly known as a PC hardware monitor or system monitoring tool. It provides a clean, organized display showing hardware usage percentages and temperatures at the top of your screen. Similar programs include speed fan monitors, thermal monitoring apps, and overall system health dashboards. If you're looking for specific names, terms like "hardware monitor," "system performance viewer," or "GPU/CPU temperature tracker" might help identify what you're referring to.

These are the tools I rely on—CPU-Z, GPU-Z, and Speccy. They’re my essential trio.

Thanks for the quick responses, but they don’t match what I needed. The MSI afterburner OSD appears to be working. I noticed a clear black panel at the top of the desktop showing system hardware stats and temperatures in an easy-to-read format.

You're likely searching for a Rainmeter app or a Windows sidebar tool.
