Hi there! I’m looking for a game with a similar feel and gameplay to South Parks’ Stick of Truth. It had a turn-based style, nice visuals, and a good story—definitely met my expectations. Unfortunately, Fractured But (Totally) Whole is taking a long time to release, so I’m hoping someone can suggest something else to keep me entertained in the meantime.

Terraria is a nice side scroller. Otherwise look into some Final Fantasy games that had turn based strategies... or if you want, get an emulator for GBA or the DS and try Golden Sun. Seriously one of my favorite games ever and it also has turn based strategy + an amazing soundtrack.

You might enjoy Divinity: Original Sin. It differs from The Stick of Truth yet offers an isometric RPG experience with turn-based battles, making it suitable for those who struggle with hand-eye coordination. Overall, it's a highly praised title.

It sounds like you like Turn-based RPGs. If that's the case i recommend Final Fantasy 6. Preferably, the Steam version that's been modded to look like the older 2-D pixel graphics (which look great, and better than the FLAT 2-D newer IOS sprites) and modded for the older script translation+uncensored content. FFVI (Final Fantasy 6) has an amazing story and is considered to be one of the best turn-based RPGs of all-time; the music and characters are simply brilliant.

Final Fantasy 10 is a turn-based RPG available on Steam. I've completed it three times, making it my second favorite game ever, just after Pokemon Red.

Great tunes and clever humor throughout. The references are plentiful, though some might be too much to bear. Spoiler alert: Will you stick around for the final chapter? Questions about which Final Fantasy predates 11?

Undertale bears a lot more resemblance to Stick of Truth than any ideas we've discussed before.
