It would also require two USB 2.0 connectors and two USB 3.0 ports, plus PCIe 4.0 support. Since you're getting a 5700x, finding options under $150 with these features is challenging.

The sole option satisfying the connectivity requirements below $150 on US PCpartpicker is the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite.

B550 supports PCIe 4.0. Unless you're using 2 Gen 4 SSDs (most users don't need this), a B550 board works well. In under $150, B550 boards are usually better. I wouldn't choose an X570 over a B550 in that situation. However, the X570 Aorus Elite is currently available at $130 and offers similar compatibility for those needs.

I believe the PC part picker is incorrect since I don’t see a USB-C front panel connector. What’s the most affordable option with a connector, given the ones I’ve found?

You might not be paying close attention or you may not recognize its appearance. You could also check the details on Gigabyte's website.

Just checked a few more times and I believe I realized it was larger, huh?

I suggest the X570 board right now because it offers the most needed internal connections at a reasonable price. I meant to highlight that you shouldn't restrict yourself only to X570 models; the B550 series usually fits better. However, the X570 Aorus Elite is essentially the only option that matches your needs—2 USB 2.0, 2 USB 3.0, and Type C headers—all under $150 in the US. NOTE: The TUF B550-Pro is another choice if you need debug LEDs, priced at about $150 right now. I’d prefer having debug LEDs, though there are still valid reasons to opt for the Gigabyte board.

In my view, the MSI B550 Pro VDH is a solid choice, especially if you don’t intend to overclock the 5700X. The VRM should handle the load without overheating. Apologies, I didn’t notice you require two USB 3.0 headers. Edited August 3, 2022 by _Omega_

it would be reasonable to inquire about upgrade possibilities as well. my setup is quite large, which makes a micro ATX seem unnecessary.
