My friends at college enjoy the conic games. I've always wanted to try them (especially 1-3), but can't locate them on PC. Anyone know where to purchase them—or if torrents are an option? I'm open to downloading older software, even if it's pirated. If an emulator is needed, I'm not sure about that either; I already use Dolphin and PCSX2. Thanks a lot! ~pipnina

I'm curious too. I really enjoyed playing Sonic on the old Sega console.

I don't believe they're available on PC, yet you're still managing to get the emulator for the required console and downloading the game from sites like coolroms or emuparadice.

In Sonic Generations you're able to experience the entire SEGA Genesis/Megadrive edition of the first game. Apart from that, I'm not sure because I still have a SEGA Megadrive connected to my TV with the games.

Did you get all the games you wanted (1-3, or whatever they're called)? Your friends said those were top picks, but 4 was also solid. Which emulator is trustworthy for Genesis? Be careful with emulator sites—they often spread malware.

I’d look for the original cartridges if possible. Nothing compares to using the authentic versions. If you’re after the Genesis or Master System editions, pawn shops are your best chance. Ebay tends to be too expensive for these items. Thrift stores can be inconsistent, but they might have something. You could also check www.segaage.com—it’s a collector’s hub where people frequently buy and sell. Consider creating an account, following the guidelines, and posting a message about wanting the system and games. You’re likely to find someone willing to trade or sell them for a lower price.

They weren't present when I looked earlier. This looks much improved compared to using an emu...

Can't assist with classic titles, but Sonic Generations is on Steam. You'll need a controller. Updated: Some older games are now available there.
