Looking for results on a network share with certain terms doesn’t work, while others succeed. This appears to be a problem specific to one machine. How can I resolve this?

Are you expecting Windows search functionality? Consider enabling indexing on the relevant storage device. Indexing a shared network drive seems unlikely.
