I'm a bit behind on the event, but I'm checking if e22big found the AMD motherboard you were seeking. I'm currently facing a similar situation with my own setup. Based on what I've learned, the only viable choice right now (besides a HEDT build) seems to be buying an adapter card that includes a built-in bifurcation controller chip. They're pricier, but they address the issue of a motherboard lacking support for bifurcation. BuildOrBuy on YouTube offers great tutorials on installing dual or quad adapters and configuring BIOS settings. He's also very helpful with HEDT-related questions.
It looks like there are just two options: Threadripper or B550 series. The latter has a split design but only one x4 PCIe slot, which is sufficient for SATA. I’ve essentially given up on finding another choice.

The x16 port can be split into four channels, allowing you to fit an expansion card there and mount your graphics card in the second x4 slot. This is the setup I use and have tested my 1080ti frame rates; I notice a slight drop of a few frames, but that's about it. Also, you retain all SATA ports, so you can keep your two onboard M.2 drives, add four M.2 slots in the expansion card, and include six SATA drives. It could easily become a solid workstation board. You might find these boards on eBay for around $120 or less, especially if you're looking for deals. Even at that price, it's a strong build. At full cost it remains impressive. I personally enjoy it. Begin with the M.2 slots first before adding SATA. You'll also need to enable raid on the Aorus side—at least that worked for my Asus Hyper V 2. According to Asus, their board isn't officially supported. But hey, good luck with your setup!
