I aim to use the Bootcamp Assistant on a MacBook Pro to run both Windows 8 and OS X. Instead of buying a license, I’m exploring Reddit’s r/microsoftsoftwareswap for affordable Windows 8 keys. I haven’t purchased any yet. Here’s what I should expect from the seller: What do I actually receive when I buy the key? Should I use a flash drive for Bootcamp, where to find the ISO file, and when should I input the key during setup? Do I need the ISO alone? Thank you for your time—I really appreciate your help.

You receive a key now. You can obtain the ISO from Microsoft, often via MS Software Swap which provides links. During installation, input the key.

The ISO files are located on the right side. Hover your mouse over the green section and select the Windows version you bought.

The flash drive should be formatted with FAT. Just confirming that.
