Hello everyone, I’m seeking a Windows 10 copy for a fresh installation. On eBay I found OEM product keys priced around £4. Are these valid? How do OEM keys differ from retail ones? Will they provide the necessary updates and support? It looks quite affordable. Should I choose Pro or Home version? Since the machine will mainly be used for gaming, what’s the benefit of the differences?

For gaming, a Home license should suffice. If the seller is reputable, issues usually go smoothly.

GBP 4 equals a full scam. This suggests customers aren’t trying hard enough to catch them. Grey market keys typically range from $20 to $50, while genuine OEMs cost around $85 and retail items about $120. An OEM might or might not be tied to a mobile device. There’s too much mixed information to confirm anything definitively.

Once connected, the lock remains tied to that specific PC.

Once you switch the motherboard, activating with the same key won't work. However, this has functioned successfully on both new and older boards. It works whether it's connected to an MS account or not. The consistent support from beginner-level help is also a plus. Ultimately, it depends on your requirements and preferences.

I’ve placed the order for £4 on eBay. It looks promising, and I’m open to trying it out even if it fits the board. The seller provided a product code and a Dropbox link for download—though that seems a bit unusual. I’ll keep you updated on my experience.

The code is ready to use. You can download the ISO directly from MS.
