keepvid is amazing. Also http://www.youtube-mp3.org/ for music. People have been ripping YT vids and music for years. Nothing can really stop it. Although OP should just search the internet.
I strongly advise against using the programs or sites mentioned in this discussion. The reason is they all convert the video and audio files, resulting in a lower quality version rather than the original. If you need the authentic file, consider alternatives like YouTube-dl (a standalone app) or YouTube Center (a browser add-on).
Visit ssyoutube.com/whateverclip to watch and download content directly from YouTube without any extra software. Keep in mind it streams at 720p, supports 1080p, but lacks audio.
