I understand your perspective, but AMD had some poor products back then, while Intel consistently performed better. The situation changed with Ryzen, and now they're closing the gap with Intel—possibly even matching them soon if Intel improves its efficiency.

Plans shifted because most suggested buying Ryzen instead of trying to reuse old components. Looking for a budget-friendly setup with at least 8 cores and 16 GB RAM. Any recommendations?
