Hello, welcome! Based on your budget, the Ryzen 3 should work well for you. The latest R3 desktop is the R3 3300X, but there are also models like the R3 5000 and R3 7000 available.

The R3 5300G is technically available but hasn't reached consumers. The challenges with AMD's R3 CPUs stem from their high production costs. Their chiplet design offers low-cost advanced chips, yet the budget models lack profitability. Currently, they rely on monolithic designs similar to the 5300G, and the Ryzen 7000 series hasn't been announced yet (though rumors suggest it's coming soon). Given the price drops of the 5500 and 5600, switching to a R3 series isn't worth it unless you're willing to accept significantly reduced performance from fewer cores.

Budget considerations vary by region. In developed areas like North America or Europe, 5600(x) typically costs about $80–100, while newer models around 5500 are in that range. Used options can be found at 3600(x) for $50–60. Preferred here is used equipment because new CPUs often break easily and offer significant savings.
