Hello, I was testing a G4560 with an RX580 on an Asus Prime H110M-P. The CPU was limiting performance, so I considered selling it. It sold quickly—CPU and memory in just two hours. I’m interested in the i3-9100F because it offers a significant upgrade for my budget. I’m unsure which motherboard to pair it with. Two options come up: H310M-E and B365M-A. Since I prefer ASUS for better pricing and minimal differences between models, I want the top choice. With DDR4 2400 MHz, I think any of these should work fine. Thanks!
The 9100f has a price that you should check directly. It’s best to steer clear of this site entirely and opt for platforms like Zen 2 or Comet Lake instead, since this one is no longer active.
This price is quite steep for what you're getting, especially with a 3100/3300x setup. A B450 Pro 4 or Pro VDH Max would be better options. Unless these are the only choices available and you're on a tight budget, they might not be worth it. They could work if you're willing to spend more.
We’re missing those CPUs, but thank you for your assistance in picking a new setup. The prices we have range from around 2600 to over 3600, which is quite high compared to the B450pro4 at 145USD. Considering the budget, would you still think about the 9100F or is it really out of the question?
You'd better understand this. If you're on a tight budget, hold off until prices stabilize. Or consider a 9100f and a B360 board—just make sure the BIOS supports your CPU.
I'm located entirely in Argentina where prices will be greater than what you'd see on Amazon or similar platforms (we can't purchase from those sites). Also, inventory isn't always available, such as with the 3100 and 3300x models.
It's worth noting that Ryzen processors can be upgraded with similar memory capacities in the future. Updating your son's PC is also on my mind—he doesn’t have a GPU yet, so I considered a 3400G with a Vega 11 and 312GB RAM for around 312 USD. Compared to a GT1030 at 156 USD, the Vega 11 offers a significant upgrade. I think it’s a smart choice for now, especially since he mainly plays casual games. Looking ahead, I might add a GPU later if needed, which could extend his system’s lifespan. I’m feeling a bit disappointed that we don’t have more CPU options available, which is why I chose the 9100F myself.

If I pick the 3200G (the most affordable option around at 122 USD), isn’t that slower than the 9100F at 84 USD? Considering future upgrades would need a new motherboard, it’s tough not to opt for something cheaper but faster. And more importantly, would I stick with my RX580 using a 3200G?
