Hello, I'm looking for the latest BIOS update for my Intel DH57JG motherboard with an i5-650 processor. Since Intel no longer makes their own boards and their support has ended, I'm relying on online searches and possibly outdated sources. The current BIOS version listed is JGIBX10J.86A.0537.2010.0518.0132... Could anyone provide a more recent release or confirm if this is the most up-to-date version?

Have you reached out to Intel through the BIOS and are uncertain about their reply?

If you locate it correctly, you're essentially one version away from the newest release. The previous version appears only as a memory level adjustment, so there are no major updates. What part of the BIOS would you like to modify?

Consider the effort unless your existing BIOS functions well. For experimenting with overclocking, purchase a test chip and try crossflashing (risk is minimal since you can restore original BIOS after failure).

Intel won't take any action as mentioned: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/29275/e...nloads.pdf Calling them shouldn't make much difference.

I'm trying to set up trueNAS scale. An outdated BIOS isn't ideal, particularly if there were recent updates to UEFI. But it still works. That's why I'm searching for a trustworthy guide.

Uefi bios are very uncommon before the second generation. My p5q seems to have a few unofficial Uefi bios (p5q deluxe, I flashed it using a programmer and inserted the chip into my board), but they’re clearly not official first-gen. It’s power-hungry and only works well after overclocking. Just skip the first-gen and opt for a third or fourth-gen system instead—those will be more efficient and handle stock speeds better.

I enjoy checking every possibility. They (intel) might still assist, unless they decline. They could have explained how to locate the BIOS version number at least. 0537. I conducted some research after returning from work. What I found was listed here: version 0656... April 2010. https://www.userdrivers.com/BIOS/Intel-D...date-0656/ The other link shows version 0663 but I don’t see the driver info or details about the update. (I’m on mobile). I believe this is the most recent. https://rebyte.me/en/intel/134600/file-540616/ Third link contains all files for that motherboard model, including those above. https://www.helpdrivers.com/motherboards...rd_DH57JG/
