The warning means Windows Movie Maker isn’t compatible with Windows 10, so it can’t be used there. You might still have options like other video editors for Windows 10.

You might want to give it a shot. Finding a quality free video editor is tough on a tight budget. Consider purchasing Sony Movie Studio Platinum on Steam (or a disc version). I own Sony Movie Platinum 12 on disc and it performs quite well for its cost. It functions similarly to Vegas Pro but lacks some advanced tools.

It might function again after some registry adjustments. I had to use the Photo viewer because they replaced it, and the new photos app in Windows 10 isn’t great. It looks like many older apps from earlier Windows versions remain installed but are hidden and can be accessed via registry changes.

Because? Just set up Windows Essentials. It includes Movie Maker and Photo Gallery. The gallery offers more formats, like RAW and TIFFs, lets you edit JPEGs, and helps you sort your photos more effectively. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/essentials
